As you may have already noticed from the big green “thank you” box near the top of the page, mygamercard.net has closed down. Which is a shame as it was a shining example of a community-built service for the XBox platform.
It would have been nice if Microsoft could have stepped forward, offered the guy a job and incorporated the service into xbox.com. But maybe that is just my simple view on the world and life is rarely without complications.
Best wishes to the creator of mygamercard.net – Morgan for the future though. He must have another cool project up his sleeve by now?
Anyone know if there are any alternatives to mygamercard.net for displaying your XBox Live profile on a web site?
..I’ve got a big space that needs filling at the top of my page.

It’s not often that Microsoft gives you the opportunity to earn cold, hard gamerscore for nowt. But if you don’t mind installing the Games for Windows LIVE client from http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/live/Pages/livejoin.aspx you can also get Tinker for absolutely nothing which includes 200 points worth of achievements.
Tinker is an isometric 3D style puzzle game which you’ve probably seem a hundred clones of previously but it’s polished, good fun and worth a download.
By the way, the system requirements for Tinker imply that it needs a 3GHz processor and a Geforce 6600/ATI 1300 graphics card… My own system is substantially below that specification and it runs fine!
